Modifications.
Many ships are equipped with Japanese or Korean standard motors. They can differ quite significantly in mechanical sizes compared to once available in the market from stock.
Many times shaft diameter are bigger on the original motor than the replacement motor. We can most often get around this by supplying the motor with a coupling to compensate for any differences.
Should we need to turn down a shaft this can be done at a very fast turnaround normally no more than 24 hours. We can also have a motor made from new with very low delivery times.
